Q: What is fine silver? How do I care for my fine silver jewellery?

Fine silver is legally hallmarked with '999', where 999 represents a composition of 99.9% pure silver. Compared to sterling silver (925) - which is mixed in with alloys like copper - the 999 fine silver I use is the highest content of pure silver and is less likely to tarnish. It is also hypoallergenic, non-toxic and contains recycled pure silver, which is better for our environment.

To care for your fine silver jewellery, avoid wearing them in the shower or while swimming and avoid contact with perfume, salt water or abrasive substances in order to prolong shine. Use a soft brush with a bit of dishwashing liquid and brush gently under running water, dry then polish with the silver polishing cloth provided and keep your jewellery in a dry environment. If repair is required or if you'd like it to be professionally polished, do contact me and we can arrange to do so (subject to possible charges).


Q: What does 'patination' / 'patina' / 'patinated' mean?

This is a thin layer that I variously form on the surface of metal through oxidation. Some of my pieces are deliberately patinated to bring out depth, texture and detail, thus may look darker than a normal silver sheen.


Q: How do I find out my ring size?

Use a piece of string to go round the finger of choice and make sure it's snug; not too tight or loose.

Q: Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept Paypal, as well as major credit/debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro & American Express. If you are already a PayPal customer, you can log in with your user data and confirm the payment. If you are new to PayPal, you can create a PayPal account, and then confirm the payment. Should you encounter a problem, bank transfer is available too. At fairs and events we also accept contactless or chip & pin payment via iZettle.


Q: When and how are purchases dispatched?

We aim to dispatch your purchases within 2 working days (except Made-To-Order pieces), in a secure package to avoid any damage to your item. For MTO pieces please add an additional 5 working days from order to dispatch.


Q: What delivery options are available & how long does it take?

All items to UK addresses are recommended to be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed 1pm next day, with inclusive tracking and signature on delivery. To protect against loss or damage, Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm has inclusive compensation cover of £500. Alternatively we have added the option of Royal Mail First Class Signed For (UK only), but please note that compensation cover is only up to £20 in case of loss or damage during delivery. Purchases sent to Europe will be delivered by Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed, with a delivery estimate of 3-5 working days (compensation cover up to £50). Purchases sent to the rest of the world will also be sent by Tracked & Signed service, with a delivery estimate of 5-7 working days.


Q: How can I track my package?

Once your package is dispatched at the post office, you will be sent an email with a tracking number for Royal Mail's parcel tracking service on their website.


Q: My item arrived late / damaged / I've changed my mind about a purchase...

Should an accident occur with your purchase during delivery, do rest assured that you can submit a claim with Royal Mail as the package is insured. Please visit Royal Mail's website to find out more about compensation. Should you have a change of mind, kindly return the item(s) in an equally secure package and in its original condition, enclosed with either a bank account number or Paypal email. Return delivery charges are borne by the sender; please choose a tracked and insured service to ensure safe receipt. Once checked over, a refund will be issued within 3 working days of receiving the item.
